I wouldn't even know where to begin on guessing what it can be. As Martha says, "It seems like a big turtle." I'd have to agree that that's the closest I can come up with also, but I'd have to add that it looks extremely diseased... Building on more of what you said about not knowing what other animals are out there, it's amazing to think that in the ocean for example, there's only so far down we, as humans, can get. Even our video/audio equipment can only go so far before being destroyed by the pressure. In years to come, we will certainly be able to get further down. Just imagine what animals we'll find. What kind of creatures can live in that highly pressurized environment?!

Judging by the structure of the flipper in the fourth picture, it's clearly a turtle, or of the same family.
