Oil Slowly Reaches Lousiana's Marshes

It has been over a month since the explosion of the Deepwater Horizon oil rig. It flows into the Gulf of Mexico slowy reaching Louisiana’s marshes. Over 60 miles of Louisiana’s shoreline have been oiled already.
The leak will reportedly be plugged with cement and mud this week. Hopefully the oil will be finally stopped. So far about 6 million gallons of oil have spewed into the Gulf. At the same time scientists think the spill has surpassed the 11-million-galon oil spill that occurred in Alaska in 1989.
